  • During Spring quarter, 1999, the Chemistry computer laboratory opened in PS-202 with 14 networked workstations running now running Windows 2000, and a dual processor server running Windows 2000 Professional. A satellite laboratory operates in PS-319, with 5 Dell PCs and 2 Macintosh G3s hooked to the chemistry network and a "multimedia" and computational Windows 2000 computer with scanner and Photoshop. All are connected to lab laser printers and the internet. A Linux based computational machine is also available for molecular modeling.  These computers are available for student use M-F 8 AM to at least 5 PM (the main lab is not available to independent students if a class is scheduled), and after hours by permit.
